There is Help – A True Story of Recovery is a recent article featured in the Transport Workers Union Unity Magazine. It is the story of Valerie Hartman, a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines, who found her way back to being able to live a drug-free life by completing the residential drug rehabilitation treatment program at Narconon Arrowhead in Canadian, Oklahoma.
Narconon Arrowhead Reviews: Her Story
Due to overwhelming circumstances in her life, Valerie turned to drugs and became yet another statistic in the world of substance abuse. As a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines, she was fortunate enough to have an observant manager who confronted her with the substance abuse problem. Subsequently, by means of the airlines assistance programs, Valerie sought help getting sober at three different 28-day rehab programs. Even though the three attempts were not successful, she did not give-up on her desire to once again live a drug-free life. Innately, she knew she needed more in order to make it.
Again, she was fortunate, as she had a friend from Southwest Airlines suggest that she try a different form of drug rehabilitation treatment, and Valerie took that advice. In a life-changing decision, she enrolled in the in-patient, residential rehab treatment program at Narconon Arrowhead.
A Review of Narconon Arrowhead
Valerie completed the Narconon rehab treatment program, and achieved her goal of sobriety. According to Valerie, she credits her recovery to the Narconon Arrowhead treatment curriculum, because she found that it focuses on both the physical and mental healing of the person, and teaches the life skills needed to give a person the power to once again gain and maintain control over his or he daily life.
While she was on the program, she studied and worked her way through the 8 different courses that are component parts of the Narconon Arrowhead program.
The first course she experienced was designed to improve her ability to communicate through communication exercises called Training Routines. Following that, she did the New-Life Detoxification Program, the sauna detoxification that reduces the body burden of drug toxins and resultant drug cravings. After the sauna component of the program, Valerie studied the Life Skills Courses. These courses of study enable the Narconon Arrowhead clients, referred to as students, to regain their ability to study, to take responsibility for past transgressions, to use good judgment in their choices in life, and to repair relationships damaged by their substance abuse. The final course, The Way to Happiness, helped put her feet firmly on the road to living a drug-free and happier life.
It’s been a year since Valerie completed and graduated from the treatment program at Narconon Arrowhead. She remains sober, and says she is thankful to have her family back. She also said she is happy on a daily basis, and has found a way to leave all of the things that happened to her in the past. She added that she is able to set goals for herself, and is now also helping others in need to find suitable treatment for their substance abuse problems.
As a graduate of the Narconon Arrowhead Drug Rehabilitation Program, Valerie invested nearly a year of her life in living and studying there, making her way out of the chaos and misery of an addict’s life. As a result, she is now able to once again live drug-free and create her life anew. That she chose Narconon Arrowhead, a place where she would be safe, comfortable and well cared for, where the high personal care-factor is a special aspect to its drug-free approach to successful treating addiction, is a testament to both her wisdom and to Narconon Arrowhead’s excellence. Both Valerie and Narconon Arrowhead are most deserving of being featured in such an article.
